Originally named “Old Baldy” due to its pronounced absence of trees on the Mountain. In 1954 its name was changed to Mount Lindsey in honor of Malcom Lindsey. Lindsey was an influential member of the Colorado Mountain Club and driving force behind junior activities in the club.
